From the village you step straight into the lifts towards the high-altitude pistes. The area has an unusual layout: the wide, gentle runs sit up high around the glacier, while the descents back to the valley are steeper and more demanding. At the same time, the town is big enough to have quieter corners. Staying a little away from the centre is calmer and often cheaper, while everything remains within walking distance or a free shuttle-bus ride.

Les 2 Alpes works for a broad audience. Groups of friends and younger skiers come for the nightlife and the large glacier snowpark, which has a strong reputation among snowboarders and freestylers.
Beginners do well here thanks to the gentle upper slopes, though they often take the lift back down to the valley.
