A gondola from the village drops you on the sunny southern side of the La Plagne ski area. From there all of Paradiski opens up: hundreds of kilometres of pistes across the La Plagne sectors and, via the Vanoise Express, Les Arcs.
The terrain is hugely varied, from broad boulevards to high glacier slopes. Because Champagny is a quiet entry point, you often start without queues, while holding the same ski pass and area as the big resorts higher up.
